Aoi Katase

Aoi Katase (片瀬葵 Katase Aoi) is the classmate/friend of Mami Misato who watches over her in case she gets out of control and Aoi has been looking after her since elementary school. She has a sour attitude towards boys after being in a relationship where her boyfriend cheated on her, but a boy named Shunichi develops a liking for her.

Aoi is voiced by Izumi Kitta (Japanese) and Trina Nishimura (English).

The name Aoi means "hollyhock, althea" (葵).
Aoi's surname Katase means "single-" (片) (kata) and "rapids, current, torrent, shallows, shoal" (瀬) (se).
